Job Summary

The Masters in Technical and Professional Writing offers 2 graduate assistantships in the fall and spring semesters for qualified MA students. These assistantships may be either online or face-to-face on the Macon or Cochran campuses (please specify preference in letter of intent).

These graduate assistantships provide practical experience in varied areas using skills complementary to MATPW coursework.

Responsibilities
  • Weekly reports and frequent communication with graduate coordinator or other supervisor
  • Reasonable progress on assigned tasks. Typical tasks may include:
    • Create, design, and revise promotional, training, and other program materials
    • Work with graduate coordinator and committee on event planning
    • Conduct research to support department and program initiatives
Required Qualifications
  • Accepted in the MA in Technical and Professional Writing
  • Enrolled as student in the semester in which the GA is held
  • USG employees using TAP funds for their tuition are not eligible for these assistantships

Other Information

These are paid assistantships (but there is no tuition waver). Stipend amount is to be determined, but such assistantships usually carry a stipend of $2000-2500.
