If these are resonating with you, then you are in the right place.Summary:The Shipping/Floater Loader Operator is responsible for loading outgoing material and unloading incoming materials as assigned. The work often involves picking and staging products for orders. They typically use motorized equipment such as a front-end loader to move material to and from storage or production areas and trucks. Loader operators are also responsible for processing shipping and receiving paperwork. Role and Responsibilities:Participate in mandatory stretching exercise programReceive direction and work orders from the Quarry Lead and Quarry SupervisorVerify that tools and equipment are in proper working conditionFollow all safety regulationsVerify the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming material- purchased loads and transfer trucksMake sure packaging is secure and intact, labeled properly and if needed, re-label or wrap itemsKeep drop/hook trailers loaded between transfers.Strap Rolling Rockstar Transit trailers as neededLoad/unload trucks for outside contractors, customers, and transfer trucks (occasionally live loading required)Keep all material handling equipment in the best condition by conducting daily inspectionEnsure product meets quality standardsProcess required paperwork- Supply Check List, Daily Pallet Usage, Inspections Equipment Maintain an organized and neat work area within reasonSetup and stage orders for shipping. Write down all the weights on the load sheet or paper. Initial that it is done and verified. On the last pallet you will write on a small white label the following information: the customer's name, ORD# and pallet counts with total weight. Finally scan to completionFinished product placed in the proper designated areaLoad the rock/dump box when it arrivesWeigh and band all finished productHaul pallets from upper ledges down to truck loading areasScan all necessary paperwork to its final destination as neededQuarry stone when possibleSnow removal and salt/sand as neededTake pallets off stock piles when possibleQualifications and Education Requirements:Certification in loader and forklift operationProduct knowledgeKnowledge of operating heavy equipment or forklift experienceAble to work with minimal supervision, be proactive, and able to work with othersData entry, math, and computer skillsWritten and verbal communication skillsAbility to read, write and speak EnglishAbility to lift objects weighing between 50-100 poundsCompetencies:Detailed orientedDependableAbility to adapt to varying work environmentsAbility to work independently and as a teamExcellent time management and organizational skillsEffective leadership and team management skillsWork Conditions:Works in indoor and outdoor conditions including varying weather and environmentsHours are full time 1st shift M-FBuechel Stone Corp will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records for employment in compliance with the FCO
