The Registered Medical Imaging Technologist conducts medical imaging examinations under the supervision of a physician, ensuring high-quality images while prioritizing patient comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify patient identification and orders, and prepare patients for imaging procedures.
  • Address patients' needs throughout the examination, providing clear explanations to alleviate anxiety and encourage cooperation.
  • Conduct radiologic exams according to established protocols, focusing on quality imaging and safety measures for both patients and staff.
  • Maintain sterile technique during invasive imaging procedures.
  • Quickly recognize and respond effectively to any emergent patient situations.
  • Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including timestamps and image storage procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with other healthcare providers about patient care following the procedures.
  • Keep a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that supplies and equipment are properly stored.
  • Engage in ongoing education and professional development opportunities related to new procedures and equipment.
  • Support and mentor students and fellow Radiology Technologists in protocols and equipment usage as appropriate.

Shift Details:

  • Full time (35 hours a week)
  • 7 on 7 off (Wednesday - Tuesday)
  • 10 hour shifts
  • Some weekends, holidays, and on-call duties required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • ARRT registration.
  • Current Rad Tech license in the state of practice (for Utah).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
  • Ability to complete the Medical Assistant (MA) Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire, as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • IV certification.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires carrying, listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pushing/pulling, seeing, speaking, standing, and walking.

The hourly range for this position is $30.94 - $47.77, depending on experience.
