Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals based on planned menus and recipes.
- Ensure that food quality, taste, and presentation adhere to HCSG standards.
- Follow food safety and sanitation protocols; maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Assist in managing inventory and ordering necessary supplies.
- Engage positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing top-notch customer service.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred.
- Ability to follow recipes and accommodate dietary restrictions.
- Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with residents, staff, and management.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks consistently.
- Must be able to work around food and cleaning agents.
- Completion of an approved sanitation and safety course may be required.
- Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required according to State/County regulations.
- Residency within the service area is required.
