Department/Unit Summary

The Post Surgical and Orthopedic Care Unit at Highpoint Health consists of 24 beds and specializes in caring for both adult and adolescent patients recovering from various surgical procedures, such as general surgery, orthopedic surgeries, and colectomies.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Applicants should possess current State of Tennessee or Multi-State Registered Nurse licensure, along with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree or RN Diploma in Nursing.

  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) is required to be current upon hire.
  • ACLS certification from the AHA or ARC is required within 6 months of employment if not current upon hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is required within 6 months of hire.
