Registered Nurse - Wound Care Specialist with Sign-On Bonus

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team, specializing in wound care. In this role, you will implement policies and procedures pertaining to patient care in wound management, providing both direct care to patients and consultative services to clinical staff. You will work closely under the supervision of a Wound Care Coordinator, delivering high-quality care to patients with various types of wounds.

Essential Functions

• Provide specialized care for patients with wound-related needs.
• Evaluate wounds during patient admission and ongoing treatment to establish effective care plans.
• Collaborate with the supervising Registered Nurse to review and refine initial treatment plans.
• Effectively communicate any changes in wound status to the supervising Registered Nurse.
• Consult with the National Wound Care Consultant and Wound Care Coordinators for best practices and advanced care.
• Assist in planning comprehensive care for each patient.
• Analyze and recommend wound care products based on their effectiveness and cost.
• Participate in developing discharge plans for patients.
• Educate nursing staff on wound care products and protocols.
• Review culture results and work with physicians to adjust the Plan of Care as necessary.

• This position does not require travel.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

$15,000 Sign-On Bonus

Salary Range: $40.71 - $50.62/Hour

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program leading to licensure as an RN.

Licenses/Certification

• Active RN License in the state and BLS certification required.

Experience

• A minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience, including acute care nursing experience.
